Os workshops em vertente showcooking com degustação regressam ao Matosinhos Municipal Marketon day 6 de dezembro at 10:30 a.m., com a presença do Chef Francisco Meireles.

Francisco Meireles é um chef autodidata que se destacou pela sua criatividade e respeito pelo produto. Vencedor do prémio de “Melhor Sobremesa” no concurso Chivas Regal em 2005, construiu um percurso marcado pela simplicidade, técnica intuitiva e combinações equilibradas. Atualmente lidera o My’Kai Poké Bowls, onde apresenta uma cozinha leve e contemporânea, centrada em ingredientes naturais e sabores frescos.

No showcooking, o Chef Francisco Meireles irá transformar produtos frescos em criações leves e intuitivas, fiéis ao sabor natural de cada ingrediente.

Este workshop é gratuito, presencial e está limitado a 2 inscrições por pessoa. Sujeito a confirmação. Ainda assim, todos os showcookings serão transmitidos em live streaming nas páginas oficiais de Facebook e Instagram dos Mercados Municipais de Matosinhos.

Neste workshop exclusivo, terá a oportunidade de apreciar o que significa “deixar nas mãos do chef”. Cada prato será cuidadosamente pensado e preparado com o máximo detalhe. Uma experiência gastronómica mais intimista e ainda mais especial num novo espaço único e limitado a 10 participantes.

Chef Afonso Pacheco has an enviable career that began alongside the pioneer of sushi in Portugal, Chef Paulo Morais. Having worked in iconic restaurants such as the starred Kanazawa, Rabo de Pêxe, Unisushi and Himitsu Sushi Bar, Afonso has perfected his technique over the years, both in Portugal and internationally.

Now dedicated exclusively to teaching through workshops, Chef Afonso combines the rigor of Japanese haute cuisine with an accessible and passionate approach. During this experience, each dish will be paired with carefully chosen national wines of little intervention, which enhance the authenticity and complexity of the flavours, creating a perfect balance between food and drink.

Japanese Street Food

Chef Éder Nascimento

Japanese street food is flavour in the moment — quick, simple, and full of personality. And Chef Éder Nascimento brings that very spirit to this workshop.

Born in São Paulo, he grew up with a deep admiration for Japanese culture. His path led him through renowned kitchens: he worked with Jun Sakamoto, trained at Nobu, and learned traditional techniques with Telma Shiraishi. In 2024, he travelled to Japan, where he worked alongside masters Hirofumi Sasaki and Akio Saito, deepening his skills and absorbing the essence of Japanese cuisine.

Today, he lives in Lisbon and leads the Omakase at Home project. Here, he shares with us the most vibrant side of Japanese cuisine: straightforward dishes, full of flavour, and carrying the true essence of washoku.

Chef Éder Nascimento

Izakayas are the more relaxed side of Japanese cuisine: small, flavour-packed dishes made to be shared and enjoyed without rush.

And who better to bring us into that warm, inviting atmosphere than Chef Éder Nascimento? Born in São Paulo and passionate about Japanese culture from an early age, Éder built his career in renowned kitchens such as Jun Sakamoto, Nobu, and traditional establishments where he learned from Japanese masters.

Today, he leads the Omakase at Home project, where he combines technique, creativity, and a deep dedication to washoku. And it’s that energy he brings to this workshop.

Come discover izakaya classics, learn simple and flavourful techniques, and enjoy an experience full of sharing, colour, and incredible taste!

Today, she is the creator of O Grão de Cacau, where she combines technique, creativity, and a touch of irreverence in sweets that captivate with both flavor and detail.

In this workshop, you’ll be getting your hands in the dough — literally. Learn essential French pâtisserie techniques while preparing desserts so good they’ll disappear from the table before anyone can even say “oh là là” 🥐

In this workshop, Chef Carolina Ribeiro invites us to explore the most creative and irresistible side of Easter pastry — from reinvented classic desserts to decorative sweets that turn any table into a true spring feast.

Trained in Pastry Management and Production at the Lisbon School of Hospitality and Tourism, Carolina swapped engineering for pastry and built an impressive career in places such as Ladurée, Rio Maravilha, and Eleven. Today, leading her project O Grão de Cacau, she brings to life creations that combine technique, science, and imagination — from hand-painted bonbons to the iconic, flavor-packed Easter eggs.
